Tramuntana Traverse

As an option for our Friday ride, SunVelo has teamed up with Mallorca Cycle Shuttle for an unforgettable cycling experience riding the road that traverses the Tramuntana mountain range.

If booked through SunVelo on the link below, the shuttle departs from the Viva Blue hotel reception next door to our Prinsotel hotel base, bikes will be racked in a safe storage trailer to be taken to the start location.

The Tramuntana Traverse is a ride which takes in some of the most breath taking views Mallorca has to offer. A self guided ride from the beautiful town of Andratx, the route undulates and rolls through Valldemossa and Sóller, to conquer the longest and highest climb on the island – Puig Major. (14 km @ 6.2% average gradient, 828m of elevation). Once the majority of the climbing is completed, the hard work pays off with a winding decent to Puerto Pollença. The official distance of the Tramuntana Traverse is 115km finishing in Pollença, however adding the few kilometres back to our Prinsotel base in Playa de Muro you will finish with a total distance closer to 130km with 2500m of climbing.

Prices of the shuttle are €25 and must be booked before Wednesday.
We recommend riders should be comfortable riding long sportive events as a minimum due to the challenging nature of this self guided route.
