Mallorca autumn cycling season 2020 Saturday 5th September to last departures on Sunday 18th October 2020
Cycling in Majorca during the autumn season months of September, October and November is growing in popularity for those wanting to maximise their fitness gains over the summer, looking to get a head start on winter endurance miles or just want to extend warm sunny days of bike time late in to the year. The island is typically in September still in full summer season mode with some daily temperatures over 30 degrees centigrade, this temperature drops off through October to often very comfortable riding conditions of around 20 degrees towards the end of October. Autumn cycling in Mallorca tends to be a quieter time than the busy spring season with fewer cyclists and little traffic on the road by the end of October. As with the main spring season many of our riders come for a week of group led cycling arriving on Saturday and departing the following Saturday but you can come for a 4 night minimum stay to as long as you like, arriving and departing any day. We continue to use Prinsotel La Dorada through the autumn months with the nearby Las Gaviotas Suites as our overflow hotel and run daily different level cycling groups as we do in the spring season.
We offer half board accommodation in apartment rooms, including a bedroom with separate living/dining room and kitchenette at the 4 star plus Prinsotel La Dorada hotel in Playa de Muro which includes daily expert led group cycling. The rooms are big enough if you want great 4 star accommodation on a budget to convert the living room to a second bedroom with the large and very comfortable sofa bed provided and use as triple occupancy. If you have non-cyclists accompanying they receive a discounted price so please contact us for the latest non cycling rates. Our overflow hotel is the smaller Las Gaviotas Suites just along the road that offers the same apartment room accommodation set up without the small kitchenette.
A direct private transfer is the most effective and fastest method of getting you to and from your destination. Our transfer drivers meet you in the airport terminal and are parked directly outside. There is a cheaper shuttle bus option that you can book independently and is used by other tour operators. However please be aware it usually makes multiple pick-up and drop-off stops and likely will take several hours to complete the transfer to and from the hotel. Taxis are also usually available at the airport at a cost of approx 85 Euros single way to Playa de Muro. Car rental is another option which with some internet research you may be able to find discounted prices in the low seasons. We recommend local family run car rental company Salesca, please mention SunVelo if booking and they may give you a small discount, see: https://www.rentacarsalesca.com/en/
